Kick Ass was the same type of film and they didn't need to do that. Besides, there was literally no reason for it.

So you guys like Defendor? I have it on my computer, all ready to be watched when I am. And you know why I decided to watch it? Peter Stebbings. Drinking Beverage

Yes I agree, they didn't need to do it. But when they did do it, I didn't see anything wrong with the fact, it still looked OK and normal, for this movie. Too bad, but, meeh, it did make it all weird and like "WTF" moment. I like WTF moments, even if they are ... not so cool.

Defendor is kick ass, except it's not Kick Ass. Yeah, it one of those kind of movies. Good and entertaining. Weird as well.

Hold on Vera, I didn't say I liked Defendor. It's passable and easy to watch but I'll never do it again, and I wouldn't even recommend it to people except for the fact that Hughsie here has a thing for semi realistic superhero movies. He's an adorable little ragamuffin, so I help him find his form of porno.

As for Juno dying in Super, it wasn't handled very well at all. And they handled it poorly on purpose to be edgy. When directors do that shit I usually tune out because it has the opposite affect on me. It's so purposefully mishandled that it reminds me of Justin Bieber. I actually think either she or him should have died. It would have been better if it was him though.

Well, even passable is tough to find nowadays... I'll probably see it one day, when I'm more bored than usual.

I do like the semi realistic superhero movies. To be honest though the awesomeness with Kick Ass and Super wasn't as much to with the lead characters as it was to with enthusiastically psychotic supporting characters who should have no business being involved at all (Hit Girl and Boltie) appealing to my sense of humour.

The Green Hornet didn't have a character like that and it wasn't nearly as good.

RE: Anyone else seen Super?
The Green Hornet sucked because Seth Rogan makes for a bad leading man. That and I don't think the director understood what they were trying to do with the characters. I'm pretty sure they were trying to go for a big trouble little china thing where you realize that the leading character is actually the sidekick.

Anyways, you like movies with chicks as spunky ass kickers. Probably because you're a raging hormone or something. Go watch Tank Girl . It's not very good, but it is weird as all hell and it has a cute punky ass kicker as the lead.
