OK, well do you have a wife? Do you love her?
If so, would you want to share her with the world?
Assuming she makes you happy, would you want her to make everyone else happy?
Should I love your wife just because you do?

Rules would be the same plus one or two concerning content.
The rules of this "debate" are simple:

- Questions should not be avoided or circumvented

- Questions should be given the most direct answer possible

- posts should be kept as short as possible

- the person who claims something has the burden to proove, name evidence or at least give good arguments or explanations *Either party may call for source material and may be asked to defend it.

- keep polite and refrain from logical fallacies

* The discussion needs to be focoused on Christianity in General, The God of the Bible or the bible itself. I do not want to get into other religions/beliefs.

Questions should be given the most direct answer possible

....but............ everyone knows this ^^ doesn't work with you. It's odd how you think you answer questions when you really don't. And it also doesn't matter how many people, how many times, etc point that out to you. You're so convinced that you've answered.

LOL

so..........

yeah............... don't think so. There's no debate with you. You might consider just continue to talk to yourself. That's mostly what you do in a forum anyway.
Thumbsup

I know what your speaking of. The problem is, you guys will ask a question you think you know the answer to. When I give a different answer you do know what to think or do, so you put it back on me for not answering the question the way you think I should have answered it.

The ironic thing? 1/2 You all accuse me of not thinking outside the box, then at the same time the other 1/2 can't even recognize the box I am think outside of.

Why? Because most of you think you understand what biblical Christianity is, but in reality do not have a clue. So when I give and answer to a very specific question.. You don't know how to respond so you assume I am avoiding the question.

I didn't have anything in mind. I'm up for anything. Maybe for this first one we keep it light. Slavery, homosexuality, or we can go back and finish what UK started. It really does not matter so long as it conforms to the rules.

You do know that love for God can only be properly expressed in what the Greeks referred to as agape'. And the love a man has for his wife is expressed as Eros.

Agape' is meant to be shared with the world, and Eros is not.

Yes I remember hearing that sermon as a kid. Fair enough.
But does love necessarily indicate a need?

Have you ever loved or been loved to the point of need? There is an element that binds all forms of love. That is need. A need to love and to be loved that we all share. Agape is the purest most complete form of this love. Once you experience it for even the briefest of moments you will understand that we have been created to experience and live in this love. Just as the body needs to eat out souls need this love.
