Him: Just leave me alone right now, I'm pissed off.

Boyfriend comes back from work, tired and upset.
I don't bother him at all.
...and later when he asks why I'm upset and I tell him I'm upset because he is upset he's like:
You know, it would help if you tried to show some affection and make me feel better when I come home from work.

I forgot to mention, your boyfriends sounds exactly like my wife Consider

I have the manual but it was translated from Korean by Bing® so it isn't much use.

Heh, well, I hope I didn't make him sound too bad...
I might have been a tad unfair in my little rant Blush

Maintain integrity and what you do is you.

Right, wrong; that's for other people to stress. Wink

I reckon I'm (re)writing my manual, each day. I guess my touchstone is being able to sleep with a clear conscience.

IMHO, life does not get easier. One ages, so any wisdom one may find comes with arthritis or illness or some random infirmity.

I also agree with HOC.

I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

No, no, you didn't , I understand perfectly what you meant. It's not something that I would hold against my wife either. It's perfectly human, and it's not like I never ever get the same way too.

And if I had to guess, I would guess that your boyfriend is a great guy, based simply on the fact that you deserve nothing less then a great guy.

If I had a copy of The Manual I would be very rich and probably not an atheist.

I find that laughter helps with the absurdity that is inconstent and irrational demands.

Give your BF a big hug regardless of what he says. He's needs it because he's pissed off but he's being a half-wit about it. I speak from experience as a professional quarter-wit (or less).
