You get that from any segment..

To my amazement, if you put up Irish are, the first result I got was: The blacks of Europe.

I see humanity like a big, out of control and anarchic spirograph... It can weave the most beautifull, delicate and intricate patterns.... then when your not looking it wipes it arse on the paper.

You're never going to say the things you want to say.
The things you want to change will usually stay that way
The promises you break outweigh the ones you keep.
Paint upon the wall for the hundredth time.

You know what's more fun?

Type in "Why does it"

And "Why does it hurt"

Lastly: "Why is my mom"

To respond to the original comment about doctors and the follow-up comments about biologists etc. let me explain...

First line support vs Second line support.

You General Practitioner is relatively highly paid Service Desk Analyst. They do Incident Management by addressing your symptoms but not the root cause (disease). They will escalate the Incident to the Specialist if they think you need fixing.

We have more respect for the specialists (who do reactive and proactive Problem Management) cos they take time to discover our personal root cause (reactive) and are also involved in broader trend analysis to seek out patterns of disease amongst communities (proactive).

Think how frustrated you get when you report a laptop problem to your Service Desk and they tell you to switch it off and back on again.

I saw the GP who I used to go to when back in the UK and explained that my hayfever had disappeared when I stopped consuming dairy products and my hemor... ehem... other issues had disappeared when I stopped consuming wheat. So I'm thinking I have a medical breakthrough that might make him famous if he investigated it further and he said "That's nice. Didn't the cream work?"

Yes! I feel sorry for us some of the time; however, I don't have to look much furthet than my daily contacts to know why I believe in humanity, not just us as possibility.

RE: Anyone still got faith in humanity?
Faith is "a belief without sufficient supporting evidence" and is therefore completely irrational.

We all knew that; we're on an atheist website, for fuck's sake.

Through profound pain comes profound knowledge.
