RE: Are You Ready for Some Football?
I really dislike football.

Just wondered if the thread was a scientific study on the shape of the ball or something like that.

I am awfully worried about my very skinny, in 8th grade, grandson playing football. He looks like a running stick.

When the majority of the time the play sees the ball in the air or in the players hand???

With the occasional punt.

In the Uk it is called "football" because we kick the ball around with our feet, or am I missing something Wink

Real footballs are formed more like the male testacle indicating virility as well as correct shape.

I'm ready now, damn it Sad , but not for locker cameras Undecided

To get people into the stands? Really
1. Shouldn't getting people to show up at the stadiums be the responsibility of the individual franchises? Win, and they'll show up.
2. You know people watch shows like Hard Knocks....at home....on their TV's right?
3. I got an idea, Boss! Come down on those ticket prices Huh

I take it someone missed the context of that 'foul'? That wasn't a foul, it was two players from the same team and they were celebrating a goal. They were taking the piss outta another player.

I give the NFL about 10 years before they are playing in TV studios with no audience. They seem to want everyone to pay $300 per person to go see a game in person when the view from your couch is better than any at the stadium. It's neat to go once but most of the time you end up watching the Jumbo-tron to actually see whats happening. Add to that the insane cost of concessions and all the hassle of getting to the stadium and leaving.
