No. He gave up poping.
And after due thought, I have infallibly come to the inspired conclusion,
The One With The Best Shoes Wins. Benny left his Pradas back at the Vatican, and the new one prolly gets his at Payless, so it's "to be determined".

I think they should do a "good pope" vs "bad pope" thing until one is dead. Palpatine will die first... he's pretty decrepid.

This new one... he seems like a line towing hard ass.... chances are, he'll last quite a while but he's pretty old, too.

So this is the first time there have been a Pope and an ex-Pope since they decided that the Pope is infallible (can't be wrong or questioned because of his direct contact with God... his hat gives him good reception). Does the ex-Pope have his superpowers revoked by God or are they both infallible? What if they disagree on an issue? How can two people talking directly to God get two different messages?

Sub-question: if the two infallible Popes competed in a two-man sack race against Jesus and God, who would win?

When Benny's resignation took effect he was non longer able to speak ex cathedra...which is essential to making an infallible declaration.
