First, watch this:

Then watch the music video, back-street-boys style

Okay... I must confess I was startled when the guy disappeared, but the cartoon-esque theatricality of it all amused me beyond any fright that it might have caused. I can only imagine the kind of impression it would produce upon a true believer. The human mind can be very impressionable and, when given enough special effects and a powerful speaker asserting the re-confirmation of a certain belief, it just might mistake fiction for truth.

The other video was just hilarious... the ends they would go to attract young people to their church Rolleyes

All learning is quite useless if you haven't learned to question what you learn.

RE: Are you ready for the rapture?
First one made me jump, since I didn't expect such a loud 'boom'. It was kinda funny, actually! Smile

The second one just annoyed me beyond anything. I can't stand boy bands or gospel, so getting both in the mix is like being stuck in a room with William Hung and Fran Drescher...someone shoot me!

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's... a little hard for me to put this into words, but have you seen Jesus Camp, for example? That's the only example I can come up with to illustrate what I want to say... It's the "group" feeling what impresses people, the comunity feeling. I can only compare it with mass histeria... Loud noises and flashing lights will make you a rapture believer, my friend.
