AF makes you send a picture of your ID for verification. I suggest we do the same.

The mod team will enforce the laws.

This beyond ridiculous.
Send in your ID to prove your 18+?? what??

The only thing you need to cover your ass is a disclaimer and a little box to check "yes I am 18+".
Just go to some porn site and copy and paste theirs.

Because it's actually next to impossible to regulate who accesses a porn site, or at least, truly regulating who accesses it decreases profitability. Or something like that. Coffeedrinker

Exactly.

Quote:Easily said when you aren't potentially the victim of said legal repercussions.

This is stupid.
If you have a disclaimer with a check box thing you'll be protected.
It's not your fault someone lied not to mention they can't prove someone younger than 18 was on that computer, it could have been a parent.

Don't do the ID thing, it's stupid and a waste of time. AF are stuck up their asses, we don't need to do something simply because they do it. ESPECIALLY when they do it wrong.

If you have any links to articles supporting the stance that that will be full legal protection then that would be great. An answer of "this is the case and I just know it" is not very reassuring.

The little checkbox thing won't do anything to actually keep out the youngsters. You know, the actual thing we would like to accomplish. The legal issue would be covered, but that's not the only consideration. Having to show ID wouldn't be a perfect fix, but it would be a deterrent that may actually deter them. Unless they already have a fake, I doubt that our sexy talk would be the thing that makes them go get one.

Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

Well, yeah, but legal advice is really easy to give when you aren't liable for the consequences.

RE: Area69 for Adults(and Gwyneth lovers) only
Holy crap, you folks have been busy today!!

I'd enjoy an adults only section. Sometimes I'll be thinking I wish I could ask people what their favorite sex toy is, or what kind of porn everyone likes. Not even for sexual purposes, these are topics I just truly find interesting. Like the little conversation I had with Mathilda yesterday about her sexuality.

If do it in the SBT, it'd get derailed pretty quick, and I don't feel it's appropriate to start a thread with that kind of stuff separately. I'd be willing to bet the SBT has already crossed the line with our forum rules. I mean we've discussed squirting in detail for christ's sake! Laugh out load

But, if we don't get one I'll live. Just saying I'd enjoy it. Not even necessarily for sharing sexy pics, or dirty talk (which is fun). Maybe just to be able to discuss adult topics maybe not approptiate for younger groups.

I hope that the world turns, and things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. - V for Vendetta

Wonderfull Dodgy

We have a sexy banter thread already, and I generally don't want to be reading random other threads having them dripping and oozing with pustulent boils, warts, herpes, and syphilis.

A place like that sounds like more trouble than it's worth...

Since Deep is the only one actually in a position to do this, it's his call. And not that it matters, but I concur with his call. Tongue

Give the rest of us a little credit Girly, we can manage the mundane stuff like creating new sections and the like. It's the stuff that actually requires knowledge and talent as opposed to trial and error that we struggle with. Big Grin

Well there's this, but I honestly think we can keep the no porn rule. I don't see how it could be a legal issue if we keep the same rules we already have and just make the space for adults only. Don't really care about ID checks. For the most part we already know who is an adult anyways.

I'm sorry everyone. I didn't mean to stir up all this controversy and debate. Between Crulax and AF I get all the porn I need and far far more than is healthy I'm sure.
I really like what we have going with the sexy banter thread and I would LOVE to have a sexy PIAS thread.
I don't mind following the no porn or nudity rules, I just like making it private because knowing that mostly minors will not be looking makes me feel safer posting.

You got a clue how to change the database to implement some sorta age verification process being discussed here? Yeah, me either. Tongue

I agree with the sentiment but the second link is a far right advocate group not really an authority on the subject.
