RE: Ark encounter
What frustrates me the most about this is when I hear/read people say that "science backs up the account of Noah's flood!" NO IT DOES NOT! The only thing close to any kind of answer I've been given is "Well explain how shells ended up on the top of mountains!"

RE: Ark encounter
Interesting that visitor numbers to Ken Sham's failing mythological theme park (aka Ark Encounter) continue to languish a pretty low levels.

To verify how much business the Ark Encounter is bringing in, someone took his drone up to give the Ark Encounter the once-over on what you’d think was the busiest time of the entire week, Sunday at high noon. Only, there seems to be less than 75 cars in a parking lot built for thousands.

Mid-afternoon on a Friday. A bit busier but not impressive.

And another taken on a Saturday afternoon. Quite a few more cars but the parking lot still only appears to be around 30% full

Clearly the investors in this enterprise may have to wait for the Second Coming to get their money back.

The last video still seems like too many cars for me.

RE: Ark encounter
Indeed it's sad that anyone is paying money to see that nonsense, but the creationist mythical theme park may be slowly sinking..........

In 2014, Ken Ham said this about estimated attendance at Ark Encounter, his Noah’s Ark theme park which had not yet opened: "… the full-size Noah’s Ark, when it opens in 2016, is estimated to attract up to 2 million visitors a year."

Even after the attraction opened this past summer, NBC News reported Answers in Genesis giving the same estimate.

Now this was reported by a local TV station, "Just since July 7 [when the Ark opened], the number of people who have visited the Ark is about the same as the population of Cincinnati — around 300,000. And [they] are projecting about 1.4 million for the year…"

But then creationists have trouble with numbers bigger than 6000........Dodgy

Curious to know what the OP "thinks", if that's the relevant word, about all of the wonderful information provided. Consider

RE: Ark encounter
Had a lady come through my line with an Ark Encounter t-shirt...smiled as I checked her out but mentally facepalmed the whole time.

Not so much much at her than at what the shirt said, can't even remembered it now but it had some cartooney depiction of the ark and downplayed how genocide-y the flood was cuz the good lawd remembered and spared Noah Facepalm

Ignorance is not to be ignored.

Spared Noah so his grandchildren could breed their cousins. If they deny this just say "Why do you think they call it ARKansas?" Smartass

Double points on that shirt, since Ken Ham has a "Fairy Tale Ark" room where he slams Christians who do depictions of the Ark that are "less accurate" or happy.

Need to think of a witty signature.
