Ark funding pulled
Atheism Resource and Seth on his FB page reporting Kentucky has pulled its funding for Ken Ham's Ark encounter.

Check out my now-defunct atheism blog. It's just a blog, no ads, no revenue, no gods.

Awesome, this is going to really hurt him financially. Probably will be the beginning of the end for his scam operation.

Quote:"However ... it is readily apparent that the project has evolved from a tourist attraction to an extension of AIG's ministry that will no longer permit the commonwealth to grant the project tourism development incentives."

...Really? That's the only reason they're cutting it? The fact that they've already poured 17 million in here and nothing's happened (did this thing ever even break ground?) isn't effecting their decision at all? If it wasn't for Ken being a discriminating ass they'd just keep tossing money at him and watching it disappear?

Seriously, is that how this type of thing works? "I wanna build a theme park; give me seventeen, then seventy three, million dollars!"? I got the impression you, ya know, needed to have the money yourself.

Not that I'm not supremely happy they're not giving him anything no matter the reason, it's just that this whole thing baffles me.

They sure gets the bourbon thing right.
Maybe they should stick to alcohol and making horses run in a circle.
