This is a virtual tour of the Bosch Hell painting. It's really cool!

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Looking at the previous posts, I feel like the old stuffy dull guy that bores people to death but I love Salvador Dali. Surrealism was incredibly freeing for so many art forms which followed it, notably the absurdist comedy that evolved from it. ... Mr Dali, I salute you for the gift of Monty Python! Big Grin

I never liked Picasso until I saw some of his work at MoMA in New York, now I'd love to have a house full of his work. Also if I could have some Jackson Pollack I'd be more than thrilled.

Yeah, I know I'm and old fuddy duddy Yes so there. On the other hand some of the Sifi stuff above is fantastic.

Today is the best day of my life and tomorrow will be even better.

I saw an incredible acrobatic performance last night. It's described at as a show that explores the topic of immigration. Watching the amazing athleticism the human body is capable of, and thinking about love, loss, and sacrifice through the medium of circus performance, was very moving for me.

I've been in a sort of funk thinking "boo hoo, all the best art is religious." But that just isn't true. I think I'm getting better at reimagining some religious art, as well, in terms of the human emotions and relationships they express.
