Elect don't kill themselves. The way you can tell is, if they kill themselves, then they weren't elect.

Unless of course they were elect, in which case...

Morondog... you're learning Calvinese! Well done.

But yeah, God gives us our desires and we can't act outside of God's will. That's not to say that someone who commits suicide isn't elect; it's just that God planned for them to do... why? I don't know.

So suicide isn't wrong (or sin) within Calvinese beliefs.

Not only that, I also believe that every bit of minutia, even you typing that, is controlled by God.

Tao is the essence of motion, God the impetus of creation; the duality of origin. As "the will to create,"sure; but the name of god is I. It's conservation law; I'm self-aware, god doesn't have to, it'd be redundant. Unless yer saying god is stupid. Shocking

I don't think I will ever truly begin to understand you and your... uniqueness sir.

Do you believe your family is elect?

Technically, nothing is a sin in the eyes of a Calvinist.

I know my wife is. I hope that my son and daughter are, but there is no way to tell right now.

No, there is sin. Suicide is a sin. All elect sin. But, God imputed His righteousness on the elect to cover their sin. Doesn't mean we won't sin, though.

As a caveat, all our sin is preplanned by God.
