Well, Kim, there is no cop at my door telling me not to say anything about it. I use smilies to answer Earmuff's questions, cause I finally realized that anything longer than that is just not worthy my time as long as Earmuffs keeps his obsession with getting what he considered as facts said again by a Chinese communist.

So I used smilies, which was a clear signal of "stop, not interested in this subject", and I stated similar things before that. Because of some unknown reasons that turned out to be no obstacle to Earmuffs. He goes on with his obsession, I continue to answer with smilies. And we have been playing this game well.

There has been many posts by about the censorship, the Tiananmen Square clashes, the famine in the 60's ... And Earmuffs just can't help showing his concerns over the human rights and free speech rights of the Chinese people.

Curiously, when I posted a thread about my province being struck by a terrible earthquake, Earmuffs showed no concern at all. When I posted a thread about Chinese policemen and civilians being killed in a terrorist attack, Earmuffs showed no concern at all ...

You know what, when he talks about free speech, famine, Anti-Rightist Movement, atrocities, oppression that kind of thing, do I buy it that he really cares about those things of the Chinese people? I have three words in my mind:

What a JOKE !

And thank you for your consideration, I am really same.

See, things are like this:

I can post on this forum any time, but it's really slow.

With a proxy, kindly noticed and exposed by Chas the Deadly, it's much faster.

I have to use the proxy to view Youtube videos. I don't know exactly why. And as long as I can watch Youtube videos, I really don't care about why it is that way, and definitely not interested in answering any questions regarding it.

No cop has ever been at my door to interrogate me.

"What he considers facts"

I am simply pointing out the flaws in your "perfect" government that you so think it is. And forgive me for having concerns about an entirely indoctrinated people, yourself included.
Remember what happened last time? 6million Jews and a second war happened...

I will be happy to point out American flaws, but this isn't about America, this thread is about Communist China.

Fact: Mao, in the name of Communist China, killed literally millions. Either directly via "go and sort out those rich people eh" or via the famine, which he caused.

You wanna talk about Communist China then expect to talk ALL about communist china, not just the selective "good" parts that you are so admit on talking about.
If you continue to sweep the bad things under the rug then I'm going to continue to move the rub until you address them.
Afterall, this thread is suppose to be about communist china.

Even if I care or I don't care, what does that have to do with what I'm asking in this thread and your lack of reply to those questions?

By all history I've seen, North Korea attacked the South first, initiating the war on June 25th after crossing the 38th parallel. The North had actually forced and contained the remnants of the South's army to a small region around Pusan before the United Nations forces landed at Inchon and pushed the North Koreans back, occupying the Pyongyang on 19th Oct.

I have to admit that when I said "North Korea" attacked, that was according to my memory. So I did a little research and found out the following. Please correct me if I am mistaken again.

[1] Both North Korea and South Korea were determined to unite the country, and they both were threatening each other before the war.
[2] There had been conflicts in small scales between NK and SK for quite some time before the war. Was there no gun shots exchange on June 24th? Was there no gun shots exchange on June 23rd? ...
[3] According to what NK told China, they claimed that SK was the attacker.
[4] I wouldn't say that NK was totally unprepared and unaware when SK attacked, if SK indeed was first to attack.

And all this was almost a decade before the Sino-Soviet Split, so I see no reason why the Soviets would give preferential treatment to a state like North Korea compared to China...

Thanks for the answer!

The Sino-Soviet Split was inevitable. And long before that rifts already existed.

[1] Russia occupied China's territories during the Romanov regime, and the USSR was not willing at all to give up these territories. Besides they also wanted to keep their special interests in Mongolia, and forced China to accept its independence.
[2] USSR had been enthusiastic about making the Communist Party of China its direct subordinate, which ambition dated back to the day when CPC was founded. Mao was nearly executed by pro-USSR party leaders in the struggle between the USSR international line and the Chinese national line. Therefore when Mao became the leader, USSR became unhappy. In WWII, USSR gave the KMT authority much more support than Mao and CPC under his leadership.

With these rifts in between, there was no wonder why USSR would give NK preferential treatment.

And I came across this article which may provide insights on why China was "late".

Chinese article

[1] War started on June 25th.
[2] Early July, NK was under great pressure, and asked USSR for help.
[3] USSR told NK to contact PRC.
[4] PRC told NK that PRC wouldn't let NK be defeated.
[5] PRC told NK that since USA took part in the war, why not invite other socialist countries to join NK's side, including PRC.
[6] NK reported this to USSR, got no reply.
[5] Late July, PRC advised NK to stop attacking, and promised NK supplies.
[6] PRC told NK that if NK needed it, PRC had 320 thousand soldiers ready to intervene in the war.
[7] NK reported this to USSR, got no clear reply.
[8] NK won a few battles and got optimistic again. USSR then determined that PRC should stay out of the war for the moment, because USSR was suspicious of Mao's willingness to participate in the war. PRC's influence over NK was the worries of USSR, and regarded as to USSR's disadvantage.
[9] Mao expressed to a USSR academician about China's readiness, to pass this massage on to Stalin in late August. Stalin played dumb.

It seems that my previous answers aren't right. And I guess when NK was doing well, in USSR's plans, PRC should just watch, and when NK was nearly annihilated, that was the right time for China to sacrifice her soldiers.

Now similar things still happen. When NK wanted to show off its A-Bomb, who is China? When it has gotten into deep trouble, it sends its special envoy to China for help.

China is really a dupe, isn't she?

RE: Ask a (GASP) CHINESE COMMUNIST ! ! !
Earmuffs, you're the one who is asking rhetorical questions and refusing to engage here. If you want to ask a question, think about what kind of information you would like to extract and frame you question around that. If the only thing you want to extract is points for your team, then you can hardly blame Junyuan for shutting you down.

I don't understand why you're behaving this way. Is it some kind of nationalism? Racism? Some kind of ideological bent? Anti-marxism? McCarthyism? You're the one inventing and imagining things here and trying to impose those ideas on Junyuan. I wonder if you would take a minute to list the features you think apply to him, such as being "a willing stupid sheep" and "worshiping the Asian version of Hitler". Read and think about his posts. Has he actually said any of those things, or has he simply refused to engage when you accused him of these things? Get a grip. You're on a vendetta here based on nothing. Apart from being a member of the party (ie someone who is in some way involved with local government) is there anything specific that he has said that is driving your passion here?

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

That is a lot to dig up and think about.

I must say, the only article i found which almost fully supports your article was This.
And considering the site has "Long Live *Songun Live DPRK" in the websites banner, I doubt it is usable as a source. The bias is so think you could cut it with a knife.

* Sungon is North Korea's "Military First" policy, which pretty much guarantees it will remain a militarty dictatorship for quite some time as it put the military in government

I hope you are not as impatient as myself and don't mind waiting a few days for my response.

However, I will comment to that last part:
Quote:It seems that my previous answers aren't right. And I guess when NK was doing well, in USSR's plans, PRC should just watch, and when NK was nearly annihilated, that was the right time for China to sacrifice her soldiers.

With the dissolution of the USSR, China is now the only nation on Earth to have ever tolerated North Korea's bullshit.
Makes sense for little Baby NK to come running to Papa China when shit hit the fan.

I have made my questions very clear.

"What is your opinion on the anti-right movement during the 50's and 60's"
"What is your opinion on the Mao caused famine in the late 50's and early 60's which was the worst famine in human history?"

I don't know how to be any more clear then that Haf'.
If I am missing some way as to how to dumb it down any further that I cannot see, then please, be my question and point it out.

And it's not anything. He wants to talk about Communist China, I want to talk about Communist China.
Why are you accusing me of something simply because I am bringing up tough issues?
If this was a thread "Ask an American" I'd be asking questions like this too, but in relation to America. Don't think because he's Chinese that I'm going out of my way to be racist or something.

I mean what, I bring up some negative things about Communist China (what this thread is about btw) and suddenly I'm a racist?
Hmmm, sounds to me someone doesn't like to hear certain things.

You can answer the questions if you like. I just thought it'd be interesting to hear from a party member. But obviously he enjoys being a mindless sheep, he doesn't have to strain his brain and actually think for himself that way.
