So you're saying that god created sin so that he can sacrifice himself to himself so that he can persuade himself to bend a rule that he created to be broken and then we're guilty for breaking it?

Christianity failed to come up with a such imaginative devil but when they finally got it right they decided to call it god. You must understand why i feel so much better the way I am right now.

I couldn't say what your supernatural experience was, but I'm afraid a miracle couldn't cut it in my case. If such a god can find a way to corrupt me, I guess that's what would take to make me submit.

1) Yes... but there was no persuading. It's how it was set up from the beginning.
2) People find their solace differently. So, yeah, I understand.
3) Same as #2

I have to say that you are a bit scary.

So he's evil and utterly horrible and unfair... but he loves you. Right?

Oh, no Hallucinations 4:11 says the 'gilded sheep should be stewed in rat blood' but Morons 5:16 contradicts it. (Chas)

I would never shake a baby unless the recipe requires it.

I could have made it easier by tossing out jargon, but I like to understand the thought, not the label.

So your answer seems to me to align with Anselm's Satisfaction Atonement, rather than a Ransom or Moral theory.

Honestly, I have never looked into any of those. : /

I guess I need to read up on them.

I just now found this website for easy quick descriptions of the different theories.

Atonement Theories

If you want to get down and dirty with the topic, read Anselm's "Cur Deus Homo?" But unless you can read Latin, I recommend finding a copy of "Why The God-Man?" I recommend Anselm to you because if I remember my Church History correctly, Calvin's Penal Substitutionary Atonement Theory followed Anselm pretty closely.

But he's evil and utterly horrible and unfair only by human standards, not by, um, some standard, er, uhh .....

To be precise, he's only evil and utterly horrible and unfair only by human standards towards the non-elect. Tongue

Dude, Joe Rogan knows what's up. I'll have to give this a thorough listen maƱana. But I heard him talk before on DMT. Trippy stuff.
