Wow is it maybe purposefully poorly executed or something? Developers seem to rely on taking advantage of game engine weaknesses to ramp up difficulty instead of actually trying. The segment where you are running through the war zone to finally kill the bad guy (whom you could have killed at least seven times throughout the game) is so poorly done. The camera suddenly stops working, the controls don't do anything, ezio just hops off a roof for no reason and executions suddenly don't work. There's not even anything really going on. I literally stopped moving and had to crawl across the rooftops to avoid him doing some crazy shit.
While fighting the main bad guy my counters would continuously not counter. Even with all of this calamity the difficulty was still brain death easy, so I'm not sure what they thought they were doing...

If they didn't do it on purpose it means that they got sloppier than usual, and if they did it means they are lazy game designers.

Anyone else remember this issue?

Exactly. To me the main quest felt a collection of side quests from ac2 instead of anything new. There wasn't much of a story, the hook blade was pointless, and the tower defence thing you were often forced to do was so irritatingly bad It put me off replaying the game. Not that there was any reason to do so anyway.
I'm sorry, but I thought this thread was for Assassin's Creed III, not AC: Revelations. If you want to bitch about that expansion pack, make a thread for it.

RE: Assassin's Creed 3
Hey Logico it's relevant. Whether the precursors to ac3 are good or not helps determine whether or not we want to pay money for ac3.

So feel free to fuck off and eat a bag of dicks.

Along the lines of quality control I decided upon finishing brotherhood to go back and see if I could pinpoint why I enjoyed ac2. I've just restarted it and already I'm finding it a more polished product than brotherhood. This makes me think that it might be the high point of the series.

I've watched a few gameplay demos so far and it looks like they may have fixed some of the movement issues I had with the series, but it also looks like they've firmly invested in the quick time-esque battle style. While cool to look at I personally find it a little underwhelming to actually do. The storytelling looks more polished as well, better acted and better looking. The naval battles look well implemented which is the most interesting to me as it's the part that really makes me want the game even though I didn't enjoy brotherhood.

One constant negative I keep hearing is that the first half of the game is a tutorial and really kills the pacing of the game. Is this true Logica?

Assassin's Creed 3
There are a lot of calories involved if one were to eat an entire bag of dicks in one sitting. I'd advise sticking with the serving size indicated on the back of the bag.

I have not played any of the AC games. I probably won't ever. But I like the tv commercial for AC3. Looks cool. They should make a movie based on the plot. I'd watch it. Thumbsup

Nope.

Not at all. I agree that Revelations was a major letdown. But seriously? One bad game out of an entire series?

Then feel free to say that Revelations was a letdown, and that it might discourage you to purchase AC3, instead of going on a pointless tangent on how much you dislike Revelations because of the game engine implementation.

You can take the dick out of your mouth and shove it in your wart-filled ass, you cocksucker.

Not at all. While the beginning does teach you a lot of the new mechanics to the game, the game is significantly longer simply because of the scale of the maps (the frontier itself is 1.5xs larger than the entire map of Rome in AC: Brotherhood). The game is pretty fast paced in terms of gameplay. Overall, AC III is a vast improvement from AC: Brotherhood and AC: Revelations.

How'd you know my ass had warts all over it?

Also I talk in tangents, don't tell me how to live.

And finally thank you for the genuine answer to my question.

RE: Assassin's Creed 3
I saw it in a shitty vintage porno from the weird section of Pornhub. I saw it and knew it had to be yours.

It is not just you who has gone on a tangent about the shittiness of Revelations.

You are welcome. The only major complaint I have about AC III is the new blocking system. It takes some time to get used to (because it has never been changed before in an AC game). The combat, despite this small learning curve, is really fluid and I can easily flea from the guards if my health runs too low. It also has a very similar health system from the original AC.
