Legal, illegal, big difference.
Tool.

How do you play guitar? With electricity and chemicals, like everything else. "Sweet emotion" is a chemical biscuit from the brain for being a good monkey.

Without the receptor, there is no drug. Which means there ain't no high that ain't natural. It's just a matter of degree.

RE: Atheism's little secret
Hm... for me, I think I kind of hit the zone in video games, especially those that demand my entire concentration. Lately I've been getting that from the Touhou series, just the combination of the music and patterns and my intense concentration. At least until I try to dodge one bullet and run into three more, or my brain just seizes up and I can't dodge at all. (Damn you, Prismriver Sisters...)

This seriously resonates with me, it hits me during certain pieces of music or during a bit of evening meditation <-- (the only way to survive work)

It's hard to describe but it's awe inspiring and somewhat enlightening.

Yep, electricity and chemicals do the trick. Actually, just energy will. A little vibration goes a long way.

However, I was referring to synthesized chemicals like THC, lysergic acid dyethalimide, and some of the harder stuff.

Playing guitar seems to be helping my friend overcome his love affair with those chemicals and achieve a healthier good monkey biscuit, you dig?

Video games have definitely hit the spot for me too, though I no longer play them (limited spare time so I opt for guitar, writing, and producing videos). Three games in particular come to mind:
ATV Off Road Fury
A fighting game who's name I can't remember for the original playstation
Doom for the original playstation (2 player mode, which required two tvs back to back!)

Sure, all things are made up from nature.

That will be a big headache for the authorities.

As always, government health regulator knows best : )

Legal, illegal, big difference.

You not ThinkerBell, you TinkerBell. Wink

But first ... are you experienced? Have you ever been experienced?

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.
