Also while fighting fire with fire can be an effective tactic, more often than not, your own fire just ends up putting more blazes on your county side (it happens a lot over here).

And hell, I'll take the knife over the gun, that you very much.

Well, that addressed very little...

Besides, knives are so much more efficient and clean close up that a gun is...

Does nobody respect fighting honourably these days.. now it's all "Bang! bang!" never looking your opponent in the eyes...

Also, in your analogy, which group has the gun and which has the knife?

The people closely associated with the namesake of female canines are suffering from a nondescript form of lunacy.

Sorry, I have got to correct you there.

He (me) is exceptionally intelligent (<-- unmeasured arrogance)
I do understand the issue. I watched the vids you posted (very good, btw, and worth watching, thank you) and listened to Seth's latest podcast yesterday and I have read Alain de Botton's "Religion for Atheists".

But if you read my previous posts, you might see that I do not agree.

However, if I thought that atheism was on the decline and if atheists were being persecuted, it might be worth considering.
And when I say "persecuted", I mean it in the "fed to the lions" sense and not in the modern sense that christians use it today, i.e. "ignored".

Cheers

Listen to Haigt again.
Without sanctity, atheist are doomed to remain in the low end of the battle for the hearts and minds of the masses.

I listened; I reject the notion of sanctity for atheism. Sanctity for human rights, maybe.

If one is to fight then he should fight to win.
Did we look into Japanese eyes at Hiroshima or Nagasaki?
Would you prefer that we had continued to look them in the eye and perhaps lose the fight?

Then you reject one of the main five principles or morality. Tsk tsk.

I guess that you are not one of the atheists whose morals I said were better than believers.

And I'm an engineer, so it is no wonder that I find your ideas simplistic, pointless, and badly expressed.

Yet you reject the finding of those experts who are into the study of social engineering.
As a part of my sales experience, I have had to deal with many engineers.
I recall one where I made a suggestion to solve a problem that was costing his company millions of dollars per day of down time. He wasted weeks and many millions before doing exactly what I had recommended on the first day. I have found engineers to be quite intelligent but not very smart.
