Didn't we have this question today already?

Check out my atheism blog. It's just a blog, no ads, no revenue, no gods.

Thanksgiving went smooth because its just a giant get-together but, Christmas has me confused.

I don't believe any of the mythical stuff behind it but I really enjoying doing that Dirty-Santa game, seeing lights, and such. The biggest issue is that every year I would go to midnight service at a Catholic church, knowing I'm not going to be invited by my dad to go this year kind of hurts. Even when I was a closet Atheist the birth of Jew zombie got me in the joyful mood!

-_-' grrrrr

I'm just not sure how to conduct myself now that everyone knows I'm an Atheist on Christmas or how to explain enjoying it.

How do you see it on your end?

Burn a log for Saturn, see if that makes you feel any better.

RE: Atheist Who Enjoy Christmas?
I really enjoy the High Winter Holidays. I have never been a believer, but it's a Christian-influenced culture.

Family,
friends,
cookies,
pie,
eggnog,
cider,
roast beef, potatoes, Yorkshire pudding (turkey? No, you just freakin' had turkey and you probably still have leftovers)
gifts,
candy,
music,
lights.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

I think people Expect to have to defend their position (aka lack of belief)......
when the burden of proof continues to lay with believers and not the other way around.
Enjoy whatever time of year in whatever manner flips your switch. If anyone questions you just raise one eyebrow and heave a sweet "whut?"
Don't have to live on the defense or prepare for persecution.

No one has to live as a victim unless they choose to do so.

Deck the Halls with boughs of holly and kiss peeps under that mistletoe!!!

When I want your opinion I'll read your entrails.
