How can anything be factually two different things at the same time?

This is the reification and where you are confused. You are saying a 'country' is three different things. How can something be a mental concept, people, and land all at the same time?

You guys are getting upset at the exact same things you accuse religious people of doing.

Do you understand the difference between 'is' and 'has'? It's clear that you either have awful reading comprehension or don't understand how the English language works.

Additionally, a definition can mean or include several different things. The definition of an insect encompasses butterflies, bees, ants, etc.

Are you here trying to feel better about yourself by thinking you are making valid counterarguments to validate your beliefs? Because you're not going anywhere by asserting that, since God and a country are abstract, they both exist.

A fart can be both a sound and a smell at the same time.

the word country is nothing more than a label we arbitrarily made up and accepted and a country is at best a set amount of land with a ruling govt which oversees it and the people living in it, all of which can be objectively measured and verified
a concept of a country has precedence in reality only if the things attributed to it has a precedence in reality

A) the concept of evaporation, how does one verify its precedence in reailty ?
by boiling water and observing the events that transpire and their causes
B) the concept of a country, how does one verify its precedence in reality ?
by objectively measuring and verify the things which constitute it
C) the concept of god, how does one verify it ?
well how ? Facepalm

you have done nothing to prove that a god has any precedence in reality so you just made it look like things that have precedence are the same as things which don't have any precedence, this is nothing but a play on words

tell me why should we even listen to what you have to say if you can't even show any empirical evidence to prove your god exists ? only evidence will convince us and anything else is nothing more than a waste of our time like every other argument for god which has been nothing but an empty argument that could only convince lay people who don't know any better, arguments which have been refuted many times several years ago

I was not comparing definitions. Not sure where you are going with this whole thread besides assuring yourself that a God is real because countries are also real, ignoring the fact that a country can be measured by population, border perimeter, etc. While God is measured on... What?

Even more challenging is to actually define God.

RE: Atheist hypocrisy and obsession questions
Except a 'country' it is not land. we made that clear. some guys made a declaration on july 4, 1776. rand mcnally says a 'country' is political and not physical. By attributing physical characteristics to somebody's mental abstraction is called 'reification.' It is religion. It's called 'statism' btw.

At least religious people understand their reification because they admit faith and belief. They are conscious of what they are doing while many of you guys are doing the same thing and yet totally obvious because you believe political abstractions have physical characteristics.

Um, do you understand the meaning of 'constitutes', 'includes', 'has'? Because a country INCLUDES aspects such as land, populations, government, but IS NOT STRICTLY THOSE THINGS. It is MADE of these things but you don't define a population as a country.

RE: Atheist hypocrisy and obsession questions
Also, while you are blubbering, please define your God. And is your God physically measurable?

Kthx.
