Well, if we become un-atheist we will be religious and anti doesn't like that either. Seems that there is no way to please our new friend. Undecided

RE: Atheist hypocrisy and obsession questions
A country is as real as a house. It is a human construct with borders, border guards and fences around it, with people contained inside it. Sometimes an addition is added to a house, sometimes borders are changed, land expanded.

The Pearly Gates of heaven with some guy named Peter at the border, on the other hand, has never been shown to exist except in theists mind.

I've done a lot of things in my panties, but planting potatoes ain't one of them.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

One is a political abstraction, the other is a religious abstraction. They are both factually the same yet every atheist I talk to seems to think 'countries' are something more than just a mere abstraction. If reifying a 'god' is religion then isn't the reification of a 'country' also religion? Why the hypocrisy?

They're evidently not the same thing. Countries are not abstract, would you say Italy, Spain, France or Germany are abstract? No, they are actual territories with governments that rule over them.

On the other hand, we yet to have an example of a God.

It's not about obsession. People can believe whatever they want, but when beliefs interfere and have actual effects on the lives of others, then it's those people's interest to talk about it.

You can pour paint all over your floor, I won't mind. But the moment you come doing it in my yard or even worse inside my house, then it's my business too, don't you think?

I just realized I used "don't you think" without seeing you did too. lol

How many real atheists do you actually know ? None ?
How do you know what anyone here actually labels them-self ?
Is it "silly" for believers or people "of faith" to *label* themselves ?
Grow up.
The world could care less what your opinions are about anything.

Insufferable know-it-all.Einstein God has a plan for us. Please stop screwing it up with your prayers.
