RE: Atheists And The Moon
So two attempts and you still can't answer a simple yes or no question. I am not asking you about Abraham. I am asking you about YOU. Methinks you are avoiding it. Lets see if three is the charm.

PJ: If the deity you claim you have a personal relationship asked you to sacrifice your own child tonight, would you do it?

There are only two acceptable answers to this question: Yes or No. Any other answer is simply obfuscation.

I answered previously when I said you and I would be loathe to do so. However, I also said "according to His Word" and if I heard a voice proclaiming a child sacrifice that would be inappropriate and excluded for me as a New Testament believer.

Thank you.

BTW, all your "prophesy" stuff, is simply confirmation bias. I do understand that you old eople need/can understand things only in the one tiny way you learned shit in your grade school days, and can't think about anything in any new way, so you need to put people in your little boxes.

BTW, you STILL have failed to tell us EXACTLY what day Jebus death was prophesied, and why and how that day and time is different in the gospels. You seem to evade what is inconvenient. What are you afraid of JebusTrollJoke ?

Bump.
Pleasy .... the day ... what was it, and who did the prophesy ?
Explain the differences in the gospel's days of the death, and the time of the death.

RE: Atheists And The Moon
Poetic as it is, a spit shined turd is still a turd. Zero basis in reality, and the source of suffering for millions. This brings out the selfishness in humanity, for those that are afraid to die. They latch on to this like it's a leather strap, holding them to a rusted railing on a cliff, kicking at people also falling, kicking, kicking, kicking, that no one may take their precious leather strap. All the while not noticing those they've kicked off the cliff themselves, to their doom, by holding on tightly to this precious leather strap. What they don't realize, is the scientists, the rationalists, the logical, have all noticed this railing is rusted, and strap or not, it is collapsing. They're working hard, building a new fortified railing, impervious to rust, one that many can hold on to, side by side, that no one may fall over the cliff, until it's time for them to step aside, and fall gracefully, to make room for others to take their spot on the rail.

No strap needed, we all fall. We can go kicking and screaming, bringing others down before their time, lying to them and telling them there is no chasm at the bottom. Or we can accept the inevitable, gravity is a bitch, so let's all enjoy our time hanging out on that rail, until it's time for us to step aside.

And it is funny how those that insist God is necessary for morality end up having less morality. That Craig character comes to mind. What I contend is that what we all share is a moral paradigm (like my Gwynnies Heart ) that keeps us out of trouble.

Do you know some juicy gossip about Craig?

Get back to work.

Not bad, BB. An interesting tack. But the context I'm referring to is having more than one verse or two to explain a teaching, something which liberal scholars likewise accept.

This is different than saying about a verse(s), "The writer(s)/redactor(s) said that God is merciful in this verse, but what they REALLY meant was X."

BB's context is THE context. It's called the truth. It's real and powerful. It's arrived at through putting in the work to be informed.

Your context is that of the brainwashed, ignorant, sheep... lapping up the bullshit, yet thinking you have a nuanced understanding others don't.

Why is a 'New Testament believer" any different from an "old testament believer?"

Jeebus (in the New Testament) says

“But as for my enemies who did not want me for their king, bring them here and execute them in my presence” (Luke 19:27, NJB).

If your son refused to worship Jeebus, what would you do?

Just a reference to his intellectual dishonesty. Undecided

RE: Atheists And The Moon
I think they are referring to William 'Two Citations' Craig.

But that is just the firs thing i think of when I hear or read the name Craig.

The people closely associated with the namesake of female canines are suffering from a nondescript form of lunacy.
