RE: Atheists for Bernie Sanders
Do people on this forum understand the historical and ideological differences between socialism, communism, anarchism, libertarianism, etc.? I thought there would be more reasoned arguments here, but so far I'm disappointed.

On an island of rationality in a sea of unreason.

I think Hillary gets the nom though.....which is too bad for the demotards.

Hillary polls ahead of any of the 17 GOP candidates; how do they win if she gets the nomination?

Hillary getting the nomination is bad for Democrats because she's a moderate, not because she can't win the general election.
They win because she's one of them. We have Bernie Sanders vs 18 republicans, it is just that he has to beat republicans both in the primaries and in the final election. Yet he can win both as long as we get to those primaries.

Marxist Sanders even worst.

Is America ready for Marxists? Looks like she is. USSR IS COMING! Weeping

Wow, some Americans are still under the spell of McCarthyism.

USSR is history. Laughat

Alla is not American, I don't think.

Quote:Polls once extolling Hillary Clinton's enormous lead over Sanders are now dwindling for the same reason Sanders beats Republicans in various other polls: Americans have had enough of dynasties, scandals, wars, and Wall Street corruption. I will be voting for Bernie Sanders because I too have had enough of endless wars, and Bernie says "I'll be damned" if more Americans are sent back to fight in the Middle East. I'll also be voting for Sanders because like the polls illustrating his lightning fast surge, more and more Americans have had enough with a two-party system that doesn't give people a choice. I want my Democratic nominee to vote against counterinsurgency wars and vehemently oppose environmental disasters in the making like Keystone XL, not evolve towards the most politically expedient position available at the time.

You don't actually read anything for yourself do you? Sanders is not a Marxist-Leninist socialist, he's a democratic socialist suggesting the US should model itself after countries like Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, New Zealand, and Belgium.

oooooooooooooooooo .... That's some scary shit right there.

#sigh

Depends how you define "people".

I agree, Hillary is more centrist than Obama at least. She is the strongest candidate the Dems have for the general election.

Those on this thread who think Sanders has a real shot of winning a general election are living in a bubble. A candidate like Sanders represents a fringe in the same way a candidate like Rick Santorum is fringe for the GOP. I don't particularly want the Dems to win (unless the GOP are super crazy and pick someone like Santorum), so by all means nominate Bernie so I don't have to worry about the Dems winning.

Given the likely retirement or death of at least one and probably two Supreme Court justices, a Republican President and Senate would be a freakin' disaster for freedom in the U.S.
