While I agree with Dr Phil (Love your show btw), teachers don't know shit and aren't gonna fail you because it's not a religion.
You could argue you believed it was etc.. anyway, schools aren't too picky with the small details like that.
For example, in Year 9 we had to do a speech on sport and as someone who doesn't like sport I did it on cooking eggs instead. I got the highest mark (A equivalent) because it was hilarious and I'm a good public speaker so...

In public, we are probably just looked at as a fad. I however go to church with my wife, where I am an out and vocal atheist. Nobody that attends is unaware that I am an atheist. They know we are not a fad.
