Not that this is bad to hear or anything but this caught my eye:

That's the dumbest question I've read in a while: Because people like icons and MLK was the figurehead. (Granted I'm not American but i'd be surprised if a large percentage of the population is able to name a plurality of non-MLK activists from the same movement.)
