RE: Atheists who work out
I'm about to start my next work out push tonight. I guess I should join this thread.

In the depths of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.

RE: Atheists who work out
So, after some weeks off because I have "sleep maintenance insomnia" (the kind where you can't stay asleep, and you're basically a fucking zombie) I ran a little over two miles on the treadmill.

Sorry-not-sorry to gross anyone out with this, but I'm always sluggish during "that time" so the run felt like shit.

Also I hate treadmills because when I use them and step off, I feel like I'm still moving - like getting off a boat or something.

Bleh. I will miss my trails all winter.

Snowshoes. Yes

Heck of a workout, no crowds, no bugs.

Er, I live in North Carolina. We don't get snow. We get ice. You don't want to run on ice.

At least once per winter I get to trek around the firing range in snow shoes to dig out the pop up targets. Good times.

Golf shoes! Or ice skates. That cold crap covers the ground extremely seldom, here in southern California. Of course, it gets hot enough to cook eggs on the sidewalk for a larger portion of the year than I would like.

See, here it melts during the day because of the sun, then refreezes. It's just not worth it.

Those don't look like acceptable trail running shoes.
