Why don't you just read the peer-reviewed, double-blind studies of its efficacy and safety?

Oh, right - there aren't any. Drinking Beverage

Nice job climbing a mountain!

Thanks!

And yes! My Five Fingers are the best Big Grin I love the freedom to spread my toes, especially my poor little pinkie toe since it's usually smushed in regular shoes.

My hips and calves are sore today. Guess I'd better work on my arms...

Yeah... that's the problem with all supplements. I guess I'll need to try it myself and see what happens.

There are some websites you can find with independent reviews of these kind of things, but IMO I'd save the money. If there's no peer-reviewed study they can reference, it's basically a scam.

Depending on the supplement, there are some decent ones out there, but all too often people are looking for a little more than a supplement. They want a magic pill to lose fat, or become fit in 30 days. It doesn't work like that. It's a life long commitment.

I read something recently, 'spend money on taking care of yourself, or spend money later on a doctor taking care of you.'

Something like that, but you get the point. Big Grin

Garcinia cambogia (a product advertised by Dr. Oz), for instance, is probably going to contribute to the development of diabetes as the physiological processes it accomplishes that are quite well understood - Do Garcinia Cambogia Side Effects Boost Diabetes?

RE: Atheists who work out
Welcome AmenTos, a most interesting 'first' post. Big Grin

My workout update: Went for a faster than normal paced run, about 4.5 miles. Then, 20 planks, and 20 pushups and 50 calf raises. An odd medley of exercises. Tomorrow I'm going to a cross fit session, and then maybe some strength training just on my own, after that. Depends how tough the class is tomorrow.
