If so, are you a Young Earth Creationist?

(16-08-2013 10:57 PM)kingschosen Wrote:  Question #3
If you are a Christian, do you believe all denominations "have it right" and are "saved"? This includes Mormons.
(02-09-2013 11:42 AM)theword Wrote:  Answer: Jesus did not come here to establish denominations.

That... doesn't answer the question.

(16-08-2013 10:57 PM)kingschosen Wrote:  Question #4
If no, why not?
(02-09-2013 11:42 AM)theword Wrote:  Answer: Being a member of a certain church has no bearing on salvation.

See above.

(16-08-2013 10:57 PM)kingschosen Wrote:  Question #5
If you do not considered Mormons to be a Christian denomination that has truth aka they follow false teachings, what makes their teaching/manuscripts/leaders incorrect or false?
(02-09-2013 11:42 AM)theword Wrote:  Answer: According to the Bible, any teachings contrary to Jesus are false.

(16-08-2013 10:57 PM)kingschosen Wrote:  Question #6
Would you consider Mormonism a cult? If so, why?
(02-09-2013 11:42 AM)theword Wrote:  Answer: Again, Jesus did not come to establish religions. Therefore, technically, all "religions" are cults.

(16-08-2013 10:57 PM)kingschosen Wrote:  Question #7
Would you ever consider following Joseph Smith's teachings and believing them as truth - ie on the same parallel as the Bible?
(02-09-2013 11:42 AM)theword Wrote:  Answer: No.

(02-09-2013 11:42 AM)theword Wrote:  Here is one of the many problems with theists. You people always want to categorize Christians, take Bible verses out of context, and back Christians in a corner with questions. Your questions may be genuine, I would probably bet against that however. So here is the bottom line.
Jesus did not come to Earth to establish a religion, or build a church with pews and bells. He said "follow me". This is why there are so many denominations in the world, because people, including atheists, are always trying to figure out how it works. How it works is simple, follow Jesus....

Can't figure out if that's a typo or not..

There are different denominations because people disagree as to what following Jesus entails.

Is your position that so long as that's the intention, the actual practice and doctrine don't matter?
Sorry, my posts are not showing up. I thought I pushed the wrong button.
BTW, I believe Bertrand Russell thought that the world was "just always here."

This is my point. You can chose to believe/accept it or not.
Jesus did not come to Earth to establish a religion.
You atheists and others can argue all you want about doctrine and practice and anything else your little hearts desire, but the fact remains that Jesus wants followers to believe in Him.
You don't! That's your choice. Paul stated that unbelievers are incapable of understanding- this is where the problem lies. You don't believe, you don't understand.

You were missing the final "/quote" tags.

I have never seen a quote or citation even beginning to suggest he held such an opinion.

As an educated man he would have been well aware that the Earth (and the sun) cannot possibly have been "always here". This was conclusively established by the early 1800s.

Would the following accurately characterize your views?
Anyone believes in and follows Jesus is a Christian, and they cannot be said to be more or less correct than each other.

That's a perfectly fine interpretation.

Why is that your interpretation?

After all, there are many millions of people who both believe in Jesus and do not agree with you.

you are obsessively chaotic bc u dont care about anything

if the word is someone how would it b christian??? a word that mean to follow a form of being an image

if the word is true it surely would b opposite to any shape of being pretense

then being is to what all is objectively clear then existence is hundred percent real

unfortunately, gods and objective presence are ennemies

gods prove that superior dimensions cant exist, so all must always b through evil life they know how to manage n b

while objective presence keep proving that gods cant exist in anyway or perspective of what could b possibly present

so what is really present is forced to keep meaning nonexistence

and what is never present is enjoying inventing how to keep it captive and refraining it from being

why??? bc positive free existence reason is principally due to evil absence in absolute dimensions where nothing is

so while true existence is really objective, evil is becoming its constant end life

so true existence is struggling to push gods back at a position where it would b clear that evil cant b at the base of existence
so evil codes would b revealed which should result by rains of bombs on gods

till the day would b real without any sun nor son

as really any is absolutely objectively clear a positive end

Again, you categorize, analyze, and evaluate. Jesus Christ came to this earth, claimed to be God, was crucified, died, buried, and rose from the dead.
This is essential Christianity. These are the building blocks for salvation- anyone who believed this and calls to Jesus as his/her savior will be saved.
You can debate about Hail Mary's, and all that other stuff all day- more power to you.

I don't think you get it.

It's not me disagreeing with you. It's the large majority of self-identifying Christians.

You have your opinion. They have theirs.

What makes you right, and them wrong?

Who said they were right and I was wrong? Again, you want to categorize and analyze. Christians believe factually that Jesus claimed to be God, was crucified, died, buried, and rose. Christians believe that as fact. Non Christians do not.
I cannot think of one "Christian" denomination that does not claim these as facts.
