Both Aseptic Skeptic and Vosur both make excellent points. Vosur, I think Aseptic Skeptic point is that those who do hold that view specifically hold those double-standards and ignore all of the examples you listed.

Also Vosur, I will cut you if you talk bad 'bout 'murica 'gain. We don't have crime here, we shot all the criminals dead.

Aseptic skeptic you're right. What was I thinking. Lol

A good society . . . for the white newcomers. For the indigenous people of Australia, not so much.

I'm not taking a holier-than-thou attitude here. Our ancestors in the States treated the indigenous people of America just as badly.

Let's hear it for Christianity and the "white man's burden."

Religious disputes are like arguments in a madhouse over which inmate really is Napoleon.

If the indigenous people of Australia had any common sense, they'd be Christian too, and then God would take care of them like he takes care of all his children. It's pretty simple. Didn't they ever read the bible?

You know, I think I'm starting to get pretty good at this. I wonder if I can make some $$$ in apologetics? If William Lane Craig is any indicator, it should be possible to make good money without actually believing a word I would say.

If they had any common sense, they'd have invented more than that a stick in their 40,000 something years around here. Dodgy

A single action is worth more than the words it takes to describe it.

By the way, welcome back, kineo. You've been absent for a few months if I remember correctly.

Didgeridoo.
Didgeridoos are cool. And they pass the spell checker, which I didn't expect.

Yeah, you're lucky they didn't invent more than a stick or that colony might have ended up more or less like the Roanoke colony of Virginia in 1590.
