Avatar longevity: Yay? Nay?
Many people like to change their avatar every couple of months (some more), but there are some (me included) that have kept their avatar since the inception of their account.

How do you feel about this?

Are you bored with some people's avatars? Or, do you find it beneficial for someone to keep their avatar as their identity?

I side with the latter. I tend to identify people almost immediately by their avatar; however, when someone changes it, it kind of throws me off.

Likewise, people with the same avatar really throw me. I can't tell you how many times I thought Woof was Momsurroundedbyboys and vice versa.

I tend to change my avatar because I get tired of having the same one for long periods of time.
With saying that, yes I do get tired of peoples' avatars, but I also do what you do and I know people by their avatar.
Whenever I see a dog, I know it's you.
Whenever I see an exploding head, it's frankiej.
Whenever I see something that has to do with atheism and religion together, it's probably Erxomai.
That's just how I am.

It's not true, for a while I had it as my daughter giving the finger, and I had it as Cassidy from Preacher. But then so many new people showed up, and I thought it prudent to return my avatar to that of a clown so as to help clarify why Girly and Hoc continuously refer to me as the evil sewer dwelling clown.

I don't change my avatar unless it's a big upgrade.
And I hate people changing theirs, I remember all of you by your avatars, so if you change it you're a completely new person to me...
