Oh, that's right, you're a gyrene. Name him "Gunny".

I thought so. But if he was British?
Yes...per the order, I am to "salute all officers, colors, and standards not cased" which includes any foreign officers of higher grade.

Then maybe he should be in the Swiss navy.

I have tossed around the idea of something epic like "King Leonidas Destroyer Of Worlds " or the opposite extreme and give it a regular human name like Phil or Dave. I am not much of a cat fan but if I had one I would name it "Special Agent Jack Bower" or "Ethan Hunt". Let me know what you think.

I recently bought a white GSD female last summer.

I named her Justice - as in Lady Justitia, the Roman goddess of law.

You always could name it Hei Yu.

The people closely associated with the namesake of female canines are suffering from a nondescript form of lunacy.

One thing that I always thought about concerning pet names........

In Star Trek, Next Gen --- Mr Data has a cat. He names it "Spot" -- I suppose to be ironic......

But, wouldn't Mr Data want to be more precise???

I'd have expected him to name it "Point"....................
