RE: Batman V Superman
I give the movie 7/10 because Batman portrayed in the movie was surprising good. I agree the film is mostly a mess. Isn't definitive for everyone. The movie would be great with another director and with another actor playing Lex Luthor.

I think that the whole story was bullshit. Why couldn't Superman just find his mother? He didn't NEED batman's help. They didn't even need to fight. They should have done a Dark Knight Returns adaptation, that would have made more sense.

I refuse to believe that Lex was actually Lex. I believe it's his son.

I agree , it's very hard to see this little dude as Lex Luthor( he could be a good joker). The movie barely has a story. It seem like a bunch of pretty looking scenes put together without any logic sequence behind it. I'm looking forward to see the future batman movies. This new batman is badass. I hope they hire a good director for the next batman movies.

As far as I believe, Ben is directing and Staring in the next solo batman film.

Atleast there is a chance that the next batman movies could be actually good.

I have faith in Ben's abilities, however I'm not sure how the movie will fare if they decide to have scenes that tie it in with the rest of their Cinematic Universe. Marvel even had trouble with Avenger's 2 and it left with some hard cuts. DC movies... *shudder.*

I want to know why the Affleck Batman threw away the moral code. Is it because he lost robin to the Joker? He straight up murders people something the real Batman does not do.

Wrong. Batman has killed. And yes, The Dark Knight Returns also has Batman kill.

Wrong. Batman has killed. And yes, The Dark Knight Returns also has Batman kill.

The moral dilemma of Batman has always been that he skirts the line of being a criminal himself. Yes he has killed before but it is usually last option in BvS he was machine gunning down henchmen the entire movie (and I am not counting the stupid dream sequences, fuck you Zach Snyder fuck you!) and had they ever addressed that, even in an aside to an incredible Jeremy Iron's Alfred, I would have been ok with it. Something along the lines of

A: Master Wayne, don't you think you are taking things a bit far out there?
B: Alfred the line is gone ever since Joker declared war on Gotham and now this Alien who could destroy the entire world by staring hard enough.

would have been enough for me to know this was a character decision and no another over sight.

He's killed even when it wasn't the last resort. Have you read some of his original comics? Dude hangs an inmate off his Bat Plane and says "He's probably better off this way."

Batman didn't have his "rule" (or at least didn't stick to it religiously) until more modern incarnations. People seem to forget that. I also understand the idea of characterization, but even when the source material has trouble keeping Batman well.... Batman, I think that it's a relatively minor complaint. They didn't bastardize Batman, they just made him more in keeping with the gritty atmosphere of this Movie Universe (ala Dark Knight Returns style). Just be glad he wasn't a fucking racist like he was in some of the comics.
