Belief
There is a difference between an unanswerable question and a law of physics (Gravity) which can be tested. Atheists believe that there is no such thing as a Supreme Consciousness or Supreme Being. Theists believe that there is a Supreme Consciousness. Both groups are unshakeable in their BELIEF.

Everyone loves a good straw man argument!

Now you're spamming. Stop making the same post in multiple threads.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

RE: Belief
One reason why we're atheists and skeptics is because we're not gullible sheep who think the truth comes from the guy who shouts the loudest. We know the truth can only come through evidence and logic...

There is no evidence either way for the existence of god/gods... but simple logic says he probably does not exist.

If he does, what is he for? He's not required to make the sun, moon, stars, galaxies, planets or us... praying produces results no better than chance. All he's got left is causing the Big Bang... and his claim on that is under threat.

So what's he been doing these past 14 billion years? If he's a non-interventionist deist god (which he'd have to be), then what's the point in creating a whole universe you're not involved in? One tiny instant of creation is all that can be attributed to a god these days... one infinitely small moment, and nothing after.

If the Big Bang is the only event in all of time that we can attribute to a god, then logic shows he almost certainly isn't around anymore. Maybe he died, maybe he only came into existence for that single moment and then simply ceased to be? Or maybe, by doing some science we can determine that a higher intelligence isn't even necessary.

I find the idea of an imperceptible, omnipresent, omniscient being that just exists without origin or purpose to be far more illogical than the Big Bang happening spontaneously.
