Best Acoustic/Unplugged Songs
I hesitantly say "unplugged" because most unplugged shows now are plugged in, just using a more acoustic version of the song.
So here's my Top 3 Best Acoustic song performances of all-time. Nirvana - The Man Who Sold The World -Though not actually a Nirvana song, they still rocked the balls out of it. Plus Dave's turtleneck is just classic. Seether - Truth -Raw power in that man's voice. Alice in Chains - Would? -That bass can chop a palm tree down with its face it's so groovy. "Ain't got no last words to say, yellow streak right up my spine. The gun in my mouth was real and the taste blew my mind." "We see you cry. We turn your head. Then we slap your face. We see you try. We see you fail. Some things never change." |

RE: Best Acoustic/Unplugged Songs
I've listened to The Man Who Sold the World for HOURS.
This is my favourite: I love the NIN cover by Cash, this gets me every time and shakes me to my core. So somberly beautiful. |

RE: Best Acoustic/Unplugged Songs
I wouldn't say these are the best 3, but they are some of my favorites
Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven A sad song from a sad tragic event. So raw with emotion I always nearly cry listening to it. George Harrison - While My Guitar Gently Weeps This cover is done by Jake Shimabukuro. Oh the things you can do on a ukelele. Bobby McFerrin - Drive Does it count as acoustic/unplugged if there are no instruments? "The most valuable possession you can own is an open heart. The most powerful weapon you can be is an instrument of peace." -- Carlos Santana |

RE: Best Acoustic/Unplugged Songs
If we're going Ukulele, I'd have to include the big man.

I fear this will appear cliche since some feel the band has been over-rated since the early 90's, but I remember the first time I saw Pearl Jam's unplugged concert on MTV. Everything changed for me musically when I caught the raw emotion in Eddie's voice and on his face at the end of this song...
Can't resist this one either...I judged every other song they came out using the bar of Eddie's emotion in this one: It was just a fucking apple man, we're sorry okay? Please stop the madness ![]() ~Izel |

Eric Clapton Unplugged is excellent....lots of good songs there.
See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF |
