Yabut, you can ignore everything that's wrong with the book if you don't actually read it. Or just read the parts that you like. Or don't take it as literal.

That's only the beginning of mental gymnastics

In the VIDEO it says:
As to what God was perceiving as day and night, could only be the passage of light into darkness.
However, there is no logical sense in creating light before the very thing that creates light, stars.

ALLA:
God did not say that He created light. Then why do they say in the video that God said this?
At this point God said that He created heaven and earth. What is heaven? How big is heaven? What is beyond this heaven?
Can you answer these questions?

It's impossible just to read the parts that you like.
You need to read the parts before you can make an assessment on whether you like them or not.

I doubt there are any likeable parts in the bible, unless of course, you are a sadist and a misogynist.

What is god, how big is god, what does god weigh, what is god made of, how is god able to think without a physical brain? Can you answer these questions?

That, or you can have a long tradition of people recommending particular Bible verses to you, and they're all the touchy-feely likable ones like the golden rule (the one in Leviticus, not the more appeal-to-force one from Jesus); or not casting the first stone; or the Song of Solomon pseudo-porn. (Different type of touchy-feely.) Then you know which ones to read and you don't have to even glance at the rest of it, much less realize how awful it is.

God is a magical being that weigh as much as he wants, is as tall as he want, looks likes what he wants to look like, think without a brain with his magical powers. He create things using magic and controls them using magic. How is that hard to understand? We live in universe filled with magical things and occurences. God is the most august of them all. My family, my parents, my uncles and aunties, my grandparents are mostly atheists.
We certainly don't have a tradition of recommending bible verses to each other. That would be quite weird.

I can't remember any school students ever recommending bible verses, I would have avoided them if they did.
Maybe the odd corner street preacher yelling out stuff from the bible, but no-one ever listens to them.

I did try and read the bible once, got upto about page 6. Then thought it was a dreadful book, sadistic and misogynistic. Not for me.

Who heard god say anything?

Who was sitting there beside god in never never land of nothingness with a pen and paper writing down what this god said in reference to creating light?

Where did god say he created heaven and earth? Who was there to record that? What is god. How big is god? What is before god? Which god?

Can you answer these questions?
