Uh... you do realise that you're posting on an atheist forum? Maybe not.

Anyway, it wasn't until 1630 that the differentiation became general in England. In the original 1611 version of the KJV bible there was no letter "J" letter, because it didn't exist. James was spelled Iames, and Jesus was spelled Iesous.

.... eeeyup, that just happened.

This guy's not asking questions, he's clearly not primed to learn, and I'm pretty sure any attempt to set him straight on this is doomed to be ignored and/or denied.

Somehow he thinks that coming into an atheist forum to tell atheists what atheists believe when that's not what atheists believe will be productive. Somehow.

He's barely capable of communicating in more than tweet-length posts with no grammar check.

He's a marginally more coherent than Borgy, but not by much. (Far less creepy and obnoxious, though. Seriously, Borg is Special.)

He doesn't seem to be getting to a point or able to clearly enunciate a point.

.... and he's trying to lecture Aliza on the differences between Hebrew and Yiddish, without actually explaining the differences.

He's most likely a member of a religion that has been identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League as being black supremacist and anti-Semitic.

The Hebrew Israelites, like the Mormons, have imagined up a biological connection that they believe their people have to a particular tribe from the Hebrew people of the Biblical era. But unlike the Mormons, they're not seeking to simply join the Jews, they looking to replace the Jews and deny them their culture and heritage. Their movement espouses anti-Semitic ideology that aims to discredit people who have held a cultural tradition that actually goes back to the Hebrew people of the biblical era.

Many of them hate Jews and white people and their movement is no better than the KKK. They have lots of YouTube videos out there that I'm sure will turn your stomach. From the Hebrew Israelites, I only ever see messages of hate and black power, but I never see them speaking out against the racism of their own people.

Oh boy howdy we got one of these! Tell me more about what I believe! That'll get you listened to, for sure.

I was just browsing along, minding my own business when I came along this. This turd-encrusted gem in the circular arguments and nonsense that the theists of this thread have been spouting, is just super. Because guess which one of the two of us thinks the universe actually pooped out of nothing. I'll give you a hint, wasn't me.

I'll gladly engage on what I do believe and what you do believe. But you need to tell me why you believe it. So far I've seen nothing compelling.

You can't use the Hebrew, can you?

I smiled soooo much when I read this. Big Grin

Edit. And now that I made it through the whole thread. Aliza made me laugh so hard. 10/10

Agreed. Whenever I hear those guys, I always think of the deep-voiced "false alarms" statues in The Labyrinth.

That's a fair cop. I'm not 100% sure of the timelines, but I think we may have been mostly minding our own business until around the time that Charlemagne started persecuting non-Christians, and then we went a-viking in retaliation.

Due to the similarity in writing style (or lack of style, as the case may be), I've been wondering if this chap is an acquaintance of socialistview.
