Do they think it gives their argument more credibility to copy the "Big Think" style and format? Religious apologetics, once again being dragged along where science leads.

It really is indicative of the fact Christian Apologetics has nothing new to offer on their own bases of knowledge of the world and how it fits together. Instead they are simply reactionary to the scientist, whom are actually doing the work. Because creationism is not a science, and there for cannot actually be studied or practiced, they simply have to wait until scientist do the real work so that they can comment on it, and try to convince rubes that they have some sort of scientific insight by producing videos in which the put up a white wall behind themselves in an effort to mimicking what a scientist already did before them.

In part of Ken Hamm's argument for creationism, he stated that creationism is better because it teaches that children are special because they are created in the image of "God". Of course, whether that is true or not is not important to believing it, just that it make the kids feel special and that's better than not telling them they are special and what the entire universe was created for.

But Christians can't let that feeling linger too long. But to hurry and tell them how immoral, worthless, unworthy, depraved and sin filled they all are.

I know what you mean. Its like on the Doctor Oz show, where they have acupuncturist put on lab coats to make them look official, as if to say the practice has value. Nowadays you can get degrees in alternative therapies, creationists can hold phds, medical quacks who have "Dr." in front of their name and porn stars saying vaccines causes autism. They are on TV and talk shows, late night infomercials, and no one is second guessing them. Oh, and of course we have psychics and ghost hunter shows...and freakin aliens.

So, . . . in the first video, . . . the woman says that she is taking the bible as "the default position". And why would that be? Ancient stories told by superstitious people somehow trump a rationally realistic view? Seems like this is akin to "believing fairytales that you just happen to like" over the years of cumulative knowledge and effort by those who make it their life work to understand the various fields of science.

I'm Deavon Reye, . . . and I also don't believe that an actual Santa Claus is real.
