You elected a guy that blatantly said he would walk into a womens changing room, while they were changing, and he could do anything and they couldn't do shit because he's famous. You elected that wanker and yet you think Bill could lose his show over this?

This is the American right we're talking about here people. Obviously it was the womens fault, 100%, and they are just simply money grabbing hoes trying to leech money from poor little Bill.

But, but, but..... With O'Liely it's about losing all that money as his advertisers abandon him, 40 have left at last count. If that keeps up, Fox's owner will have to do something. He has been pulling in over $200 million a year. Without that he is about as useful to the Murdochs as an empty whisky bottle. What will they do when their big cash cow eats it big time? He's not volunteering to leave "to spend more time with his family". He'll have to be dragged out kicking and screaming.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch....

Bloom was talking about her client Wendy Walsh when she said, “I’ve been flooded with calls all week, by the way, from Fox News women all week. I’m happy to talk to them.”
Kate Snow asked, “Did you just say you’ve been flooded with calls women who worked at Fox News?”
Bloom answered, “Yes.”
Snow, “So are there others out there who you think want to talk?”
Bloom, “There are many others.”
Snow, “How many calls have you gotten?”
Bloom, “I can’t tell you, but there’s a lot. There’s a lot. This is a real problem.”

More lawsuits, more lost money..............

Even if, for some miracle, he was kicked off his show that doesn't mean he wont just go somewhere else. He has a following, people respect and like what he has to say. If he's not being a twat on Fox he'll go be a twat somewhere else and he'll be just as successful, maybe even more so.

Worst case scenario Fox pulls his show and he relaxes on a tropical island somewhere while Fox continue to pay him because they have some sort of contract and it's cheaper to just pay his salary than cancel the contract. And they just replace Bill by some other nutjob and the right still spew shit. I mean they're sure as shit not gonna replace him with someone like say John Oliver or Bill Maher now are they?

I'm not saying I'm not enjoying this scumbag's or the Murdoch's pain because of all this. Their tears are delicious, I use them to salt my chips. I'm just saying it's not gonna be the end of either douche bags, even though I really wish it were.

The storm is growing.

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/fea...tt-w475352

Have any of you heard of the group Sleeping Giant? They are spearheading the effort to contact all of the sponsors of the show and inundate them with information of his transgressions against women as well as asking them to pull their ads.

"We think it falls in line with what we've been doing with Breitbart, which is informing advertisers," he says. "Instead of just saying, 'Get off Bill O'Reilly's show,' we're trying to give them information ... about Bill O'Reilly's past." They plan to tweet out a few of the graphics a day. That strategy has worked for Sleeping Giants in its campaign against Breitbart – more than 1,750 companies whose ads had previously appeared on the far-right news site have now blocked it from their ad buys.

The list of advertisers distancing themselves from the O’Reilly Factor is adding up: As of Thursday afternoon, nearly 50 brands had bailed on the program."

It's like that car show, the host punches an employee in the face because he doesn't like the sandwich he's given, the show bosses fire the host, the host starts up a new show on another network and the fans come across with him.

Exactly, that's a good example.
Companies are often out of tune of why something is loved. Top Gear was so great for example because Jeremy, May and Hammond made it great. Their chemistry is what made that show. That was confirmed when the new Top Gear was utter shit. It was scripted nonesense bullshit and nobody liked it.
The Grand Tour however was fucking fantastic because it had what made the original Top Gear great, Jeremy, May and Hammond.

It's happened with a lot of big youtube accounts. The person has sold their account, a company has brought for several million and fired the person who made it. The people who watched that person simply followed the person and the youtube channel now owned by some company dies because it lost what made it liked to begin with.

The fans don't care about the ideology or the "morality" of what has happened off screen. They just want to be entertained by the show they have grown to love.

Yea exactly, thus my point.
People are numb to this sort of shit, they just don't give a fuck. As you say, they just wanna enjoy their show and be entertained.

But the network cares about money coming in from advertisers. If enough of them pull their ads they’ll cancel the show. You’ll say he’ll go to another network but he’ll be damaged goods if the pressure persists. What network wants to take that chance?

He might survive this but it’ll hurt his pocketbook.

RE: Bill O'Rilley
Fox just renewed O'Liely's contract. He gets paid $20 million a year. They could boot him, but pay him, essentially to go away. Or maybe make him sit out a few weeks and then apologize. Or shift him to a less desirable time slot. Or find a clause in the contract to boot him.

Fox did boot Glen Bunk when he got effectively boycotted for crazy lying.
