It's a fairly thorough evaluation, it took over two hours of questioning to complete.

My psychiatrist recommended it. He thinks I might qualify to have a caseworker where I'll have more interaction with someone other than him just giving me pills for bi-polar.

Was that called a neuro-psych test?

I'm not sure, it could have been.
She mostly just asked questions about how I felt, if I can identify what causes different swings in mood, things like that.

Ah. No that's not it. I'm scheduled to take the "It's me Grampa, don't you remember me?" test. They call that one a neuro-psych test.

Is that supposed to test for early signs of Alzheimer's?

Could be, I can't remember.

RE: Bipolar/depression, illness or true self
OP is a false dichotomy.
You are your true self when you are depressed.
When you're not, you're not. (See how that works ... that'll be $50.00 please).

If they meant "your best self" or "optimal self", that's not the same thing. (I'll give the PM discount on that one).

Insufferable know-it-all.Einstein God has a plan for us. Please stop screwing it up with your prayers.

Nah, that one only took like 10 min. I got a 28 out of 30. Thought a camel was a giraffe (they fooled me with the lion and rhino first) and could only remember 3 out of 5 words 5 minutes later. Looks like anything above 24 is "normal" but 28 out of 30 ain't so hot for a research scientist mediocre to begin with.
