RE: British Royal Family Keep or Replace?
As the royal family is basically a ceremonial prop, I think they should keep them for cultural reasons.

Do they all have actual jobs?

The ceremonial duties they perform are very easy to understate (several engagements per day). That essentially is a full-time job. Compare the US or French presidents, perhaps, wherein a very large portion of time is spent at the equivalent functions instead, of, y'know, governing.
(this is not related to the concept of monarchy per se, but is related to a division of governmental and ceremonial roles)

In terms of "day job", the princes William and Harry are both military officers; their father has been heavily engaged in various charity projects for quite some time.

... this is my signature!

RE: British Royal Family Keep or Replace?
Canada should adjust the laws so that the government does not require 'royal assent', and eliminate all the other powers the monarchy holds over Canada (even though they're not used in practice). Make the country the same by law as it runs in reality. We don't even need to abolish the monarchy to do that. We can keep the monarch as the head of state, but strip the monarch and 'head of state' of all power. No more ridiculous governor generals and lieutenant governors supposedly deciding whether our democratic government can pass laws, on behalf of the queen. It's stupid. We can have the monarchy for heritage purposes, but we should really eliminate the absurdities of our legal system.

If something can be destroyed by the truth, it might be worth destroying.
