I got in trouble in Trig class in HS for reading The Two Towers while the teacher was explaining something. She called me up to the board and wrote out an equation and told me to solve it. Took me five seconds and then I went back to my seat and continued my book. She let me read my books in silence after that!

Haha, lucky you. My teacher separated me and 2 other kids out from the rest of the class and made us do work from the next class up Weeping. Actually it wasn't that bad haha.

Not really necessary. We've had only a couple of lively math threads in two years. The one on infinities and the one on repeating decimals are the only ones that come to mind.
Or were those both in one thread?

I posted a thread about the newly discovered largest prime number last year, but I don't much give a shit if we have one as a subsection or not, personally.
