CBS This Morning piece on atheism
In case you missed it, CBS This Morning did a piece on atheism this morning. Mo Rocca did the interview.

One of the interviewees was Neil Carter of the Godless in Dixie blog. If you have never read Neil, check him out (especially my fellow Southerners).

RE: CBS This Morning piece on atheism
Thank you for posting that, it was pretty good. I liked how atheists were portrayed. Some people find us a smug, angry people. We aren't.. not all of us can be stereotyped in that way.

I would love to come out and post my stuff, as much as my Christian friends do on FB, but I won't. I am in the closet. I hope there is more conversation, then I will get the will to do it. Once I feel it is more acceptable and I won't be demonized by nearly everyone I know. Undecided

I don't hate my friends and family because they don't believe the same thing they do, but I am not sure I would be treated as fairly in return.

If 53% is accurate it sounds ominous for any secular candidate.
Some years back, here in Australia, we elected our first female Prime Minister.
I think the U.S. might be more Christianized than us though.

I caught this segment when I woke up today. Definitely did a better job of showing the diversity of nonbelievers, then the CNN special. Nonetheless, I'm glad for any positive exposure on the national stage.

Yeah, enjoyed hearing from Neil Carter, it was a good piece.

I was ready to post this when I saw your thread already posted. I'm too slow.

This is one of my favorite shows, it has segments on the arts which is rare on tv. Anyway, some of the comments are interesting.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Interesting, thank you for sharing.

The essence of life is statistical improbability on a colossal scale.

Thanks for the share, it was interesting, but sadly nothing we do not already know.
The story the guy told was quite familiar to listen too. All too familiar. I dream of the day when an openly atheist president will be elected.

My Youtube channel if anyone is interested.

Am I the only one who can't take Mo Rocca seriously? I kept waiting for him to make fun of someone or punk the interviewee.

Check out my now-defunct atheism blog. It's just a blog, no ads, no revenue, no gods.

I have a campaign slogan ready for them :
