It gives them the opportunity to make a mistake, which the other candidates can then replay and use to make fun of them for the rest of the year.

The purpose of this debate is to help decide who gets the party nomination and not who gets to be President. The presidential election is far out, but before you can have that, you have to decide who the candidates will be and that is what we are doing now.

Then why does she continually poll ahead of every single GOP candidate when paired up with them? Sure, the whole email thing has been draining her numbers, but she still polls ahead of everyone.

He would probably do quite well.

Personally, I trust both Hillary and Bernie. However, I think Hillary is more electable but also more on the side of Wall Street than I'm really all that comfortable with. I hope, if Bernie doesn't get the nomination, that he successfully pulls Hillary further to the left.

But we'll see. And the email "scandal" is bullshit, in my opinion. It's so meaningless and clearly just a ploy to bring her into question. Republicans will try anything to win.

But the Dems need to be attacking the right sooooo much harder after McCarthy let the cat out of the bag about Benghazi. Make sure everyone knows that there was never a "Benghazi" issue and that the republicans wasted so much tax payer money on this, all while claiming to be the fiscally responsible party.

Watching Hillary Clinton answer questions reminds me of this scene from the movie Stripes.

Shackle their minds when they're bent on the cross
When ignorance reigns, life is lost

RE: CNN Democratic Debate
All I saw in this debate was how far to the left the Democrats have gone. It's like they were trying to see who could hand out the most free stuff. They've gone full blown socialist. I mean, who's going to pay for this stuff? Free college? More handouts? I pay enough damn taxes. Buying votes through the promise of free shit has become the democratic platform.

RE: CNN Democratic Debate
Far left is not that far left these days. The center has been dragged so far to the right, everything looks skewed.

And people are sick and tired of hearing that "you just need to work harder", and "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" crap when people are working multiple jobs to keep afloat. People work damn hard. And they need the country to back them up.

So, who's gonna pay for it? We are. The tax payers. They are. The tax payers. The rich are. The tax payers.

My wife and I both work two jobs (she technically has three as she will pick up shifts at a third restaurant on her days off if we need extra cash). We pay for our own day care. We've never used any type of welfare, food stamps or anything in our lives. There are people out there just like us who don't look to government handouts. We could both work one job and qualify for government assistance, have more time together, spend more time relaxing. But that's not us. We'd rather pay our own way.

Do you claim the tax credit for the cost of daycare? Just sayin'.
