California fires
One of the many places I lived in when we moved out of the Sierras Nevada Mountains was a little tiny town called Middletown. I went to school there. My father taught school there for several years. So I'm watching the news and lo and behold 400 homes burned to the ground there. They're calling it a city. Ha! It wasn't a city, believe me, it's a town with maybe 5000 people in it...maybe.

We actually lived nearby in a place called Anderson Springs which is maybe two miles away. It was a idyllic almost fairy tale place. Just a wonderful place to spend ones childhood. Well, here it is now.

Fucking global warming!

Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

We're losing quite a lot of trees in this country. Sad

RE: California fires
When I was a kid I helped fight a bushfire outside Sale, in Victoria. Bloody scary, the fire leaps from gumtree to gumtree and flies above your head and all of a sudden you're surrounded.

My thoughts are with you all in California fighting your bushfire. Sad

Where I live in CA is very, very dry. I am also right near a mountain, which scares me if someone decides to be stupid and light a fire/throw cigarette butts.

Goddam global warming.

I just heard that 600 homes burned to the ground in and around the Anderson's Springs area. Living there as a kid was so amazing that none of us kids needed or even wanted to go to Disneyland, it would have been a disappointment in comparison. It was just a lovely place.

I've got a few friends that live in the Clear Lake area, they're worried.

Also Another friend might have lost their summer home. Sad

Too many years of drought...

But it'll come back when the rains return (after some scary landslide warnings).

I know for redwoods the seeds have to be burned to grow.

And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

I've heard they are also vulnerable to mustard seed size faith, but I've yet to see that demonstrated... Consider

Well since I am now a devout follower of FSM, I prefer macaroni size faith.
