No, they call it Science and posit a Big Bang as the source and present evidence which is far more compelling than religion. But whether you find it persuasive or not is still your call. You can still be rational while not admitting their evidence as proof. And I have to say Science been berry berry good to me. Don't mean I think it's the shit or all that.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. Shocking

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

Kinda like terse and deadly, or so I'm told. Wink

Sorry to hear that.

Yeah, me too. She stole 10,000 Euros and my parent's grave from me - long story. I guess her god will get her for it. Tongue

K.C is basically correct. Deism believes in an initial vivifying force; they don't say much about the perfect nature of this force. I see no contradiction between atheism & deism really........ Consider

I've heard of grave robbers, but how do you steal a grave?

RE: Can you believe in a God & not organized religion?
I am not sure there is such a thing as 'organized' religion. So many claim to base their teachings on the same book yet all have different ideas on what it says.

I'm not anti-social. I'm pro-solitude. Sleepy
