Canada Day
Aw yiss.

Not that most of you care.

Anyway, I can watch the biggest fireworks show in town right from my apartment balcony.

So there's that.

'Grats on being Canadian, and all that Big Grin

I hope that the world turns, and things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. - V for Vendetta

Well, at least I came by it honestly, unlike all those latter day "Canadians".

I mean, my family goes back at least four whole generations in any direction.

Do you include yourself in that (ie great great grandparents born elswhere) or do start with your parents. I'm 4th including myself.

Just a fun fact, a good friend of mine (guy I mentioned in the "why do theists come here" thread) his ancestors were part of the original founders of Quebec City.

I'm homophobic in the same way that I'm arachnophobic. I'm not scared of gay people but I'm going to scream if I find one in my bath.

I'm. Also homophobic in the same way I'm arachnophobic. I'm scared of spiders but I'd still fuck'em.

A great-grandfather of mine was a first generation Canadian. All the other branches go back at least two/three more generations.

I do too. Every French-Canadian does - that's just statistics!
(small founder population + very high natural increase)

Although actually being able to trace it is somewhat more interesting.
