There's a sex toy on the 100? I gotta see that!!! People love to complain about things. I like the thematic spreads that the new canadian money does. In the end no one will really care what's pictured on it, they're gonna use it either way.

I'm not a non believer, I believe in the possibility of anything. I just don't let the actuality of something be determined by a 3rd party.

People see what they want to see. I like the new bills. Artistic, they each share a different part of our history, and they're waterproof. Not to mention "pornographic" is a pretty far stretch from just showing the human form. Plus, aside from two structures side by side, the picture looks nothing like the twin towers in the states.

Just visiting.

I would, but with the exchange rate isn't it only worth like $1.50 or something?

Did I miss something?
What's wrong with pornography and being anti-American?
Can't call yerself a true Brit unless you have an oppressed desire for both those things.

And you can't call yourself a true Canadian unless you have an un-oppressed, open desire for both those things!

I heard the pornography reference and went and got a twenty to find it =p heard it's the statue on the monument and I was a bit upset. Yeah, like children don't watch moves with pirate ships in them. Statues have existed for a long time. I did love that the canadians they are supporting knew nothing about a canadian monument =p

You're lucky to be in the phillipenes DLJ I've yet to travel somewhere that the US dollar held considerable weight. In italy the euro was worth more, in Japan the en was a bit higher, and now in canada the larger price is so small that the exchange fee makes it go under. If I exchange a dollar for canadian money I will get 73 cents. When I exchanged a dollar for a euro I ended up with 32 cents (actually 30 cents since there is no penny in the euro system). When I exchanged a dollar for en I got 65 cents. At least you're somewhere where you actually get more than the dollar you gave.

That certainly would be the case if I was in the Philippines. I will be there next month.

I carry around 20 different currencies with me cos I travel so much and I don't use credit cards.
Euros and my native pounds aren't much use but I carry US$ to Manila and to Vietnam where they are preferred to the dong. I like the currency there just so that I can say "Do you want my dollars or my dong?"

I live in Singapore where we use US$ instead of toilet paper :-)

RE: Canadian Money is Pornographic and Anti-American
One of the strangest things to me about Japan is that Okinawa uses the US dollar over the en even though they have a national currency. I could understand a territory using a nation's currency, but due to current currency exchange practices allowing your money to be printed abroad leads to a horrible devaluation. I understand that the standardizing may one day lead to a single currency, but I'm more for the concept that the internet is leading us towards the end of currency. Now that free enterprises are given so much more interest as opposed to the past. I see a strong step in the ladder towards a new barter system.

Sorry for placing you in the wrong place, but you know everyone wants your dong more than your dollar =p
