It's my favourite current series. I'm hoping it stays within the bounds of child friendly. I'm thinking the city battle episode might need to be skipped.

Doubt it.
The setting is a sociopath on the frontlines of a world-war with the devil(?) pulling strings to escalate the conflict.
Frankly I was expecting something along the lines of Higurashi no naku koro ni, or Hellsing Ultimate. (In case you haven't seen them) Raw, bloody chaos and horror.

Either way, it's almost finished. Sad

Are you ready for the spring releases? Seems to be mostly new chapters to old stories.
I'm looking forward to Berserk, ATTACK ON TITAN, and Nanatsu no Taizai.

Caught a sneak-peak on Granblue Fantasy, unlike other shows the artwork has a nostalgic 90's quality. Might be a nice break from the glaring colours and computer-animation effects.

Well, fuck it. On a ancient beater laptop at work, browsing the free stuff on Crunchyroll. Just finished Toradora! and seriously considering re-watching Cowboy Bebop. Also, Toradora! had an excellent English dub.

Samurai Jack (this cartoon can go several minutes without any dialogue)

Rocko's Modern Life (lot's of adult themed innuendo, such as spank the monkey)

Recently finished up season 7 of My Little WhyAmIWatchingAShowFor5YearOlds because I didn't have anything else to do.

Have to say that season 7 might be one of the best cohesive seasons they've ever done, with more good interesting episodes rather than episodes with stupidly predictable plots or episdoes that are just plain... stupid. This season had a good red line through it with explaing the backstories of 6 other heroes before the current ones. The season highlights however are S7E4 "Rock Solid Friendship" and definitely S7E13 "The Perfect Pear", which is agruably the best damn thing they've made.

Not generally hypnotized by anime, but Cowboy Bebop was pretty cool.

僕だけがいない街 is basically what ReLife would have been if it was good. 5/5. I picked all of the twists ahead of time and the pacing of the last few episodes was imperfect, but on the whole I reckon it was marvellously executed.

I did finish The Saga of Tanya The Evil (幼女戦記) and watch it with the kids. It's another wonderfully made series.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

It's Batman in the Sengoku Jidai (the Waring States) period of feudal Japan. Basically, Batman as samurai. Really no different than reimagining Batman as a cowboy in the wild west or a pioneer to an American audience, or as a Victorian era noble (hunting down Jack the Ripper?) would be to a British audience. I'm pretty sure DC has done quite a bit of these one-off's in the comics, including a steam-punk Batman.

If that ever gets a western localization, I'd be interested to see it. I'd still want an English VO with Conroy and Hamill.
