Chester Bennington RIP
Damn it, another suicide.

I don't care for Linkin Park's latest album much and I like their older stuff more, but man this one hurts almost as much as Cornell did.

Linkin Park's music is awesome. I don't think I've ever heard a bad LP song, Chester's singing was the making of that band.

Very sad.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Sad Very sad to hear.

I wonder what will become of the band

If we came from dust, then why is there still dust?

RE: Chester Bennington RIP
I heard about this at the time, and another huge loss for the world of music.

From reports, he killed himself on what would have been Chris Cornell's birthday as well, as the two were very good friends, and he took Chris's death very hard. Which in itself is another blow for Cornell and LP fans alike.

Hybrid Theory and Meteora are still amazing albums, I kind of stopped following them after that, but picked up the latest one today, and it's pretty good. The first two albums especially are , along with Cornell's music, things that helped shape my teenage years and I'm forever grateful to LP and Chester for that.

Rest easy, Chester, you'll be missed.

I agree their early work is better, more visceral and gutsy Imo, it certainly spoke to me more.

This is the face of suicidal depression 36 hours out. Recognize it? Me neither, and I've been been suicidally depressed. Scary shit.

Unfortunately, I believe there's a strong link between later-onset depression (PTSD maybe?) and childhood sexual abuse. Bennington was abused for six years until age 13 by an older male acquaintance, and turned to illicit drugs and alcohol to ease the pain—a common trajectory apparently. RIP.

I'm a creationist... I believe that man created God.

RE: Chester Bennington RIP
I was reading a few days back about how Cornell and Bennington were very close, and how Cornell's suicide touched Bennington very deeply, perhaps influentially.
