Child Protection
From birth on up, children must be protected from harm because there are no gods to protect them.

Every parent knows this truth whether they want to consciously admit it or not.

No matter how devout your belief in a god is, you will not leave your defenseless child in the woods alone all night long.

Why ?

Because you know the reality of the situation out weighs your fantasy. You know the consequences are life and death and you would never intentionally do that to your child.

You wouldn't leave them in a place where they can be killed by things in their immediate environment.

You wouldn't do that because you love your child.

So if you believe in a god, why has this god left you in a place where you can be killed by things in your immediate environment ?

Is it because he doesn't love you or because he doesn't exist ?

Well that's an easy one. That floozy Eve ruined the perfect garden for us all. Free will and all that. Drinking Beverage

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

RE: Child Protection
are you referring to this woman who left her son with cerebal palsy in the woods with a blanket and bible while she spent the weekend with her boyfriend?

Actually no. I wasn't referring to that.

I thought I was inventing some hypothetical that would never happen.

RE: Child Protection
I almost have to wonder if the bible part of the story was added in because he survived.

Had he died, I have no doubt the bible portion of the story would have been omitted.

I am so jaded when it comes to what religious people will do that it doesn't phase me that much.

"Well, of course she would do something like this. She's religious. Their sense of morality comes from a belief that genocide and torture are acceptable ways to deal with problems."

Fucking death cult
