Christian mom gets triggered by censored rap song on the radio
Fast forward to 3:17, where she throws down a sick beat for her young child to hear. aww yiiiieeeah, she be crippin' Cool

She discourages her children from listening to this, but encourages them to read propaganda about a genocidal maniac who fucks with people's lives for his own amusement and self-glorification. Interesting Drinking Beverage

If we came from dust, then why is there still dust?

I think she would get triggered watching her daughter eat a banana.

The woman is obviously emotionally immature and suffering from a lack of self-esteem. Like a lot of ultra-conservative Christians she's living in a misty-eyed, white bread, 1950s world like June and Ward Cleaver.

I feel sorry for her kids; they deserve better.

I'm a creationist... I believe that man created God.

She doesn't have a clue what the song means, and doesn't even want to know what inspired the lyrics.

In a more enlightened household, this could've been a "teachable" moment to discuss African-American culture and race relations in the U.S, past and present.

Yeah, go hide your head in the sand; your daughters will "never, never listen to that radio station again".
Sure...

Your faith is not evidence, your opinion is not fact, and your bias is not wisdom

"It's not the same" says the woman waxing nostalgic for the wholesomeness of songs like "Hit me baby one more time".

Need to think of a witty signature.

RE: Christian mom gets triggered by censored rap song on the radio
When my son was growing up, if a song came on the radio I didn't like, I turned it off for a while.

If we were at my friends house and people would cuss, I would tell him that we don't have to repeat what we hear. We can control what we say.

Now that he's an adult with a child who occasionally says a cuss word, he understands that he needs to control what he says around his child.

I've taught my grandson that we don't say certain words and give him alternative words to say if he feels angry.

I have to wonder where her 11 yr old is listening to this radio station at ? I haven't listened to the radio in years. I get music from YouTube and play it from my phone to my car. I pick up new songs every now and then. My current phase is Icelandic rap.

This woman is an attention whore of the highest order. Get a grip woman.

"Parents, I strongly encourage you to listen to what your kids are listening to."

No shit huh? Any reasonable parent understands that it's part of their job to help their kids understand and interpret the culture around them.

That song's not even so bad - there is much "worse" out there.
